Book Review
Title: Australian Obsession
Author: Flora Ferrari
Genre: Romance
Rating: *****
Review: I have read several books by Flora Ferrari and when I was able to get a review copy of Australian Obsession, I couldn’t wait to get into it. Australian Obsession follows Elena and Lachlan, in the opening chapters we learn that Lachlan is Eric’s older friend, but both are hardcore surfers in Australia, Elena has travelled out there for a week with the sole purpose of tracking down the cause of her obsession; Lachlan. However, she has never met Lachlan before and when she does both are stunned by the other and Lachlan is determined to make Elena his.
As we cross the ¼ mark in the novel, Lachlan becomes Elena’s tour guide of Aussie land, but both are wanting the same thing from the other but aren’t sure of the best way to go about it and it doesn’t help that Elena’s brother doesn’t seem to be taking their friendship very well. However, when they return home from sightseeing and her brother is still pissed, she and Lachlan decide to stick together, and I have a feeling the heat is about to be turned right up.
As we cross the halfway mark in the novel, the pair can’t keep their hands off each other any longer but the actual situation they find themselves in is purely coincidental but as they are about to get to the good stuff there is a knock at the door and the only person it could be is Elena’s brother which means this isn’t going to go well.
As we cross into the final section of the novel, we see the relationship between Lachlan and Elena finally transition but she wants to come clean about the facts she has been practically stalking him for the better part of two years. When she finally does Lachlan doesn’t have much of a reaction at all because he has been exactly the same since he met Elena. The epilogue and the extended epilogue are definitely my favourite part of the novel as we see Lachlan and Elena make up with Eric and all three of them get their happily ever after.
