Book Review
Title: Breaking the Rules
Author: M A Lee
Genre: Romance
Rating: ****
Review: So rather than Holly and Lance who we meet in Schooled we are following the adorable Lacey and Mack in Breaking the Rules. When we meet Lacey in Schooled, she comes across as very shy and education driven but when she starts tutoring Mack who is quite smart anyway, she realises for the first time that being interesting in boys and having a boyfriend might not be such a bad thing after all.
Breaking the Rules follows near enough the same events as Schooled but with key scenes told from Lacey’s perspective and more Mack sprinkled in, but it does feel like am reading the same book twice. There isn’t a whole lot I can say about Breaking the Rules because it is so similar to Schooled, but the progression of Mack and Lacey’s relationship is just as adorable as Lance and Holly’s.
The ending of Breaking the Rules was interesting, and I am excited to see where book 3 Dismissed takes the series as we haven’t been introduced to another couple so I have the feeling that Dismissed will be following either Holly and Lance or Mack and Lacey so I can’t wait to see where they take these relationships.
