Review: I have read quite a few of Flora Ferrari’s book but I didn’t know anything about Cocky CFO except that it follows Amelia and Carson and centres around a slip-up Amelia makes regarding her love life and Carson takes full advantage of that. Amelia accidentally makes the mistake of sending a message making fun of the acronym CFO to her friend, but it turns out she sent it to the company group chat and now everyone she works with knows that she has never experienced the big O and she has to deal with the fallout.
Carson, on the other hand, was brought in as a new Chief Financial Officer to restructure the company and while he believes that she should fire Amelia for her mistake, she is cut from the same cloth as him even sharing the same birthday just 16 years apart. Carson is taken in by Amelia and decides to keep her on and even offers to help with her “problem”. As we approach the halfway mark in the novel, we can see a connection developing between Amelia and Carson, but nothing has happened between them yet. Despite this, they are very similar people only Carson is confident where Amelia is quite introverted.
Cocky CFO has to be one of my favourite reads from Flora Ferrari so far and I am happily making my way through all of her books. I’d highly recommend Cocky CFO as it is a light-hearted read with a beautiful couple who are so adorable together and the ending was sublime.
