Dear Double Team by Olivia Hawthorne

Book Review

Title: Dear Double Team

Author: Olivia Hawthorne

Genre: Romance

Rating: ****

Review: So this book is part of the same series as Dear Lonely Heart & Dear Mr. Firefighter and considering I loved both of these I was so excited to see what Dear Double Team had in store for me. Dear Double Team follows Blythe Orion & Harrison and James Manchester, I believe the guys are twins or possibly brothers so I was interested to see how this normally untouched dynamic would work within the context of the Matchmakers series.

Blythe is an Instagram sensation looking for the real thing when she is paired with the mysterious Double Team who tells her that there is something, they need to discuss in person but doesn’t reveal what it is, but the blurb does which is kind of a let down but despite the life she has been living Blythe is genuinely excited by this mysterious man and can’t wait to meet him in real life. After being invited to the event of the season by Double Team for their first date Blythe decides not to tell her internet friends and entourage but only her assistant and her best friend Sophie, as the pair jet off to New York to meet the mysterious man that has been driving Blythe mad.

The relationship between Blythe and the Manchester twins was hot, steamy and beautifully. While I couldn’t relate to their lifestyle, I understood the fact that the twin’s history made them happier together and that Blythe was the first person who accepted them together rather than trying to force them apart. In the end I really enjoyed Dear Double Team, however, I did feel the story was a little rushed in places and could have done with being a little longer to correct this.
