Dear Hungry Wolf by Vivian Ward

Book Review

Title: Dear Hungry Wolf

Author: Vivian Ward

Genre: Romance

Rating: ****

Review: I didn’t know much about Dear Hungry Wolf before I picked it up, but I have loved the Matchmaker series and I doubt this will be any different. This novel follows Cole who is your typical playboy and Tillie, the innocent virgin. After joining the agency the pair don’t waste time on letters but rather, they IM chat with each other and agree to meet quite soon after they start talking.

The first meeting between the pair is interesting as Cole is someone very well-known but Tillie doesn’t seem to recognise him probably due to her sheltered upbringing. In this series, we have seen a lot from traditional romance, BDSM, and triads but this novel introduced us to DDLG. If you don’t know what this means it is the dominant daddy and the little girl, Tillie and Cole have the personalities to suit this kind of relationship and they take to it quite well.

I really liked this relationship and where the story went but I would have liked a lot more of the DDLG elements as the only elements that are present are the dominance and the names; “daddy and little girl”. I felt that if you are going introduce DDLG into a romance you need to go big or go home otherwise it doesn’t have much of an impact but regardless I still enjoyed the romance and the characters.
