Book Review

Title: Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Vol 15 by Koyoharu Gotouge

Genre: Manga, Fantasy

Rating: 5 Stars

Volume 15 is the beginning of the end really for the series, with the 5th and 4th upper moons now dead, the demon slayers have gained valuable information in the form of what the marks are that have appeared on Tanjirou, Michirou and Mitsuri. This mark can only be activated when the demon slayers heart is above 200 beat per minute and their core temperature is over 39 degrees which would normally be fatal but instead gives the demon slayer a massive boost in power.

Tanjirou was actually the first to awaken the mark as he did it in the fight with Daki and Gyuutaoru.

With the information the demon slayers are all training with each other in order to see who can and can’t activate the marks for the final battle that is going to come with Muzan. Kaguya also invites Tamayo to the demon slayer headquarters in order to work on some things there but we don’t know what they are yet. Now with only three upper moons, Akaza, Douma and Kokushibo, Muzan seemingly promotes the biwa lady to the rank of 4th upper moon and her ability is one to locate people at a distance and transport them to the Infinity Palace and domain she controls of Muzan’s behalf.

We see everyone training really hard and even Giyuu has truly accepted his place among the pillars and Tanjirou is able to befriend and learn about Gyomei’s past and how he become a demon slayer. With this training complete for most of the demon slayers they are prepared for the battle that is to come but the only one that has any inside knowledge on this is Gyomei since he is not only the strongest demon slayer but has been with the corps the longest at eight years.
