Dipped in Holly by Dana Isaly (Nick and Holly Book 1)

Book Review

Title: Dipped in Holly by Dana Isaly (Nick and Holly Book 1)

Genre: Erotic, Romance

Rating: 4 Stars

I have read Dipped in Holly before but when it was the only book out in the series and I really enjoyed it then and I loved it on the second reading. It takes place at Christmas when Holly is dumped at a party by her partner of five years and is hating on herself when she attracts the attention of the owner of the bar, Nick. Nick is an older distinguished gentleman and can’t stand to see Holly hating on herself and attempts to cheer up which ends up with them flirting for most of the night and Nick literally tossing her now ex out on the street.

The majority of the novella then takes place over that night and the following morning as Nick and Holly get very familiar with each other. The sex scenes are very well written and the age gap and daddy kink are done is a great way that doesn’t come across as cheesy at all. By the end, Nick takes Holly for breakfast and admits he doesn’t want this to end and because she’s just got out of a relationship Holly only agrees if they take things slow and Nick is so happy with that. Honestly, I adore when large age gaps are handled well and don’t come across as creepy and I can’t wait to get into book 2 as that takes place around Valentine’s Day.
