Book Review
Title: Forbidden (Forbidden Book 1) by Seven Rue
Genre: Taboo, Erotic, Romance
Rating: 4.5 Stars
Forbidden was actually a lot better that I was expecting it to be as it features a sex confident main female character with a harem of males to adore her. However, be warned going into this that there are taboo romance as two of the males who court Birdie throughout the book are her father and uncle, although not related by blood and throughout this novel she is underage at only 17 which these men are all 30 years her senior. We are following Birdie as she deals with normal teenage things supported by her father, Rhett and her uncle Theodore. However, she soon begins to notice feelings of sexual attraction towards them and begins to make moves when she realises that Theo is just as attracted to her.
Birdie and Theo begin a relationship even though he is hesitant at first as she is underage but very quickly she notices Rhett’s attentions as well and begins seducing the man who she sees as her father. The throuple explore sexually together as Birdie is a virgin and the taking of her virginity seemed overly harsh especially since Rhett knows she is a virgin as she bleeds and while that can happen for some women with proper preparation it shouldn’t but Birdie does enjoy it. These scenes were delightful especially with the added danger element of potentially being caught. A third man is also brought in and this is Rhett and Theodore’s friend Luke. Luke is most dangerous of the three as he is currently married with two young children which isn’t the case for Rhett and Theodore.
Luke has been unhappy in his marriage for a long time despite loving his children greatly and when he notices Birdie’s attentions towards him he is reluctant at first and doesn’t make any move on her. However, the more time he spends with her the more attracted to her he becomes and eventually gives into it. The threesome scene was amazing especially since it feature double penetration as well, however, Birdie didn’t seem to have a favourite but rather she loved them all equally and in different way which was nice to see. However, the ending sees Birdie become pregnant despite the fact this was a very slim chance considering she only has one ovary and the tube is twisted but somehow it happens. All the men are supportive of her decision however Luke does want her to keep to baby and this is probably because he already has children and is excited by the prospect of having a child with Birdie. Birdie, however, isn’t ready for children at only 17 and doesn’t think she ever will be. Rather than crowding her and forcing her to make a decision the men give her space to make the decision for herself and I am jumping into Baby Bird immediately to see what happens.
