June Wrap Up

So I read a disappointing 9 books in June but with both the Book Junkie Trials and the Reading Rush happening in July I am hoping to have my best reading month of the year.

Royally Cursed (Vampire Princess #2) by Cameron Drake – It’s the summer before my Senior year and I’m in trouble. Besides needing to pass my driver’s test, I’m cursed with an insatiable hunger for blood. I have to be locked up when the urge strikes me, and the thirst is terrible. Only drinking the blood of a Vampire can sate me. Maxim offers himself to me. But it is another’s blood I truly crave. The blood of my ex-boyfriend Dylan. He hates me for breaking his heart. Little does he know I did it for his own protection. And because his Fae family might kick my butt. When he learns the truth about me, nobody expects what will happen. But how can I choose between the two? And none of it will matter if I can’t save my Kingdom. But first things first: I need a dress for prom.

2. Rogue Prince by Cameron Drake – My guardians have done their best to keep me hidden until I grew strong enough to defeat the New Leaders. The same leaders that destroyed our kingdom and imprisoned my father. It is nearly time for me to reclaim the throne and set my father free so he can rule once again. But now there is another claim to the throne. A prince who hid himself in shadows for centuries. A prince who let me think he supported me. A prince who let me believe that he loved me. That betrayal cuts the deepest. We are connected by blood, so I am constantly aware of Maxim, the so-called Rogue Prince. I know he has not yet revealed my location or sent for the New Leaders. I know I am safe from the ultimate betrayal. But for how long?

3. To Serve My Alien Man by Sabrina Kade – Layla’s always loved her curvy body. But being curvy and pregnant has taken a toll on her confidence. Her mate Dolan says she’s as beautiful as ever, but Layla’s unsure. The stretchmarks? The weight gain? There’s no way he still finds her sexy. Can Dolan show her she’s never been more desirable?

4. Twisted Saga 1 (Books 1 – 3) by Jo Ho – When Marley moves into her dorm at Blackville University, she has classes to sign up for, parties to attend, and an over-protective father to avoid, who, as luck would have it, has just been hired at BU as its newest History professor. While trying to befriend her roommate, Marley discovers that Cassie might just be the oddest – if richest – girl she’s ever known. Then there’s Eve, the older girl with a mysterious past who hides her true face under layers of make-up and a bitchy attitude. Thank God for Tyler who seems nice or she would think college life was a bust already. After a disastrous night out ends with them all thrown together for the first time, something happens that no one expected. Something magical. And suddenly they discover they each have been gifted with strange new powers – but why? And who is the mysterious good-looking stranger who seems to know far more than he is willing to tell them?

5. My Lover is a Murderous Demon by D. S. Gramme – Aria had it all. She was beautiful, lived in a castle, and money was never a concern. Except she killed humans for a living. She was the perfect assassin and no one ever escaped her blade. Then one day, her life changed when she met a man she couldn’t kill. He was a humble food cart chef who was handsome, charming, and funny. He taught her how to live and how to love. And everything went downhill when a powerful demon lord discovered their forbidden relationship.

6. Love Row by Brandi Aga – Love was our weapon; too bad it couldn’t save us. I never pictured myself wandering our abandoned town with my husband, striving for another day, let alone with Him, too. He’s haunted, lost. The moment he walked into our lives, I made a promise to never let him go and now I can’t. I won’t. They say things happen in threes. Sickness, evil, death. We thought we’d beat it all—we thought wrong.

7. The Darkest Deep by Ashlee Nicole Bye – As the heir to the Sea Throne, Delta knows her life will never be that of an ordinary undine. In a year’s time she’ll have her ascension ceremony—her four consorts will be chosen and she’ll be required to step up and take on the full responsibilities of Princess Heir. For now, however, with the exception of a few boring meetings and official appearances, she’s free to have fun and party with her two best friends, Hurley and Loch. Sexy, fun and fiercely loyal, these two have been by Delta’s side for as long as she can remember; and if their brand of fun happens to involve escapades of the bedroom variety, well, what’s wrong with that? She’s not promised to anyone…yet. Everything changes for Delta when an ancient and deadly monster invades the Sea Court, poisoning many of the undines, including the Queen. Nbr>With her mother living on borrowed time, a desperate Delta decides at once to leave the Sea Court and venture out in search of the only known cure for a cetus bite. Loch and Hurley don’t hesitate to go with her, but they are also joined by two rather less welcome companions: Wade, the smooth-talking ambassador with a smile that could melt the scales off any undine (with the exception of Delta, of course), and Tasman, Delta’s handsome but surly personal guard, who’s made it no secret he believes the princess is nothing more than a spoiled and selfish little girl. But there is no room for personal grievances as they come up against enemies and obstacles in the treacherous waters beyond the Sea Court’s boundaries. Relationships will be tested, perceptions will change and secrets will be revealed. And Delta will come to realise that, just maybe, the Gods have chosen her consorts a year early.

8. A House of Cards (Undercity Chronicles #1) by Savannah Skye – Welcome to the Undercity, where humans and vampires collide… When Hana Spear comes to New York to mourn the death of her friend Cassie, she finds herself being tossed into the back of a car with a bag over her head instead. It doesn’t take long to realize that her neat, little life will never be the same. Everything she thought she knew about the vampire world barely scratched the surface, and the true underbelly of the city is rife with murder, greed, and betrayal. Even worse? Some of the most lethal players in this macabre game of chess now have their sights set on her. The odds are bleak, but she’s determined to team up with the sexy cop who rescued her, dive into the Undercity, and uncover the truth about what happened to Cassie…even if it kills her.

9. We are Blood and Thunder by Kesia Lupo – In a city where magic is feared and the dead are worshipped, life is overshadowed by a powerful and devastating storm cloud. One young woman is running for her life. Another is trying to return home. Both are looking for a place where they belong. But what Lena and Constance don’t realise is that the storm cloud binds them. Without it, neither can get what she desires.
