After finishing Mr. Kinky, I actually learned from the author herself, that the scenes I had issues with were based on her own experiences which made me view them in a different light. At the end of Mr. Kinky, when Joel turns up at Bella’s house, someone comes to her rescue and we are about to find out who it is. I personally had my money on Liam but it could be someone completely new, if that’s the case I am going to think who is Bella going to settle down with, if anyone, at the end of the series.
In this book, Bella ends up being rescued from Joel by Liam as I suspected and I have a feeling that this pair might end up together with the chemistry between them but Bella soon begins dating Ethan. Unlike her previous encounters, Bella is determined to take things slow and Ethan doesn’t have any problems with this but there are definitely red flags about him from the beginning which made me think of how Joel treated Bella but she doesn’t seem to see them. After weeks of dating, they end up running into Luna and Max, Bella obviously speaks to her friends and Ethan tries to accuse of her setting the whole thing up but quickly changes back to his gentlemanly self which Bella brushes off.
Eventually after thinking about his behaviour and warnings from friends, Bella wants to break things off with Ethan especially since they haven’t slept together yet. When he arrives that evening he ends up insulting Bella and pressuring her to the point she texts Ava for help and Liam arrives with his entire football team to rescue her. After this Liam reminds Bella how sexy he finds her in the bedroom although both make it clear that it is a one night stand and nothing is changing between them right now which seems fine. However, during Ava’s birthday celebration, Ethan turns up and tries to sexually assault Bella but Nathan, Liam’s friend comes to her rescue and leaves her in Liam’s hand while he deals with Ethan and the police. It is this moment that Bella decides to take a break from the dating scene and my prediction is that Liam is going to take care of her during this time bringing them closer together than they already are.
The next book is titled Mr. Rich so I know this definitely doesn’t apply to Liam but I am hoping Bella with end up with Liam in the end, since he treats her respectfully, is great in the bedroom and even Ava states that Liam has changed since he was with Bella. Overall, this entry definitely brought back the things I loved in the series and introduced some more hard hitting topics that many women face as well as potentially setting up the end game romance. Highly recommended!
