I think Mr. Rockstar turned out to be one of my least favourite books in the series so far. Not because it wasn’t well written because it was but I felt that it was dragging out the potential ending. After the breakup with Jenson in the last book as well as the kiss and awkwardness with Nathan I was fully expecting something substantial in this book and was a little disappointed when I didn’t get it.
Bella ends up going away with Ava to London after meeting Cole, the leader singer of a band and having a wild time. Considering everything that has happened with Jenson and Nathan, I totally understand where Bella was coming from but I expected her to act a little more mature about the situation than she was. By the time she finally calls Nathan, rather than discussing things rationally they argue further cementing the idea in Bella’s head that she needs to be running away when she needs to be confronting her feelings like an adult.
By the time she returns from the wild weekend, she has started things up with Liam again as he has made a reappearance and Bella is willing to give him the chance to show her he can be more than a player. However, we are introduced to yet another relationship with Seth, her boss’ son, if I remember correctly which is a bad idea. Honestly I would have rated this one better if Bella was focusing more on taking things easy with Liam and potentially trying to work out her feelings from Nathan rather than adding even more love interests into the mix.
Overall, I liked Mr. Rockstar but it felt like it was dragging the series out to places where it didn’t need to be going and I know the next book is probably going to continue that which I probably wont enjoy. However, I do hope that the final two books in the series have enough time to provide a satisfying resolution rather than Bella just ending up with Liam for the sake of it.
