Title: Mr. Unavailable by B. L. Wilde (Human Mating Site Book 9)
Genre: Romance, Erotic
Rating: 4 Stars
I recently received the arcs of Mr. Unavailable and Mr. Rockstar which are going to set the stage for the final story arc of the Human Mating Site series and I am sad to see it coming to an end soon but I can’t wait to get my physical bind up edition of the series to read it over and over again. This book opens with the continued strained relationship between Bella and Liam since they still aren’t talking and Bella knows her relationship with Jensen is coming to an end after the christening.
Before the christening which get to see Bella explore a little more of her kinky side and while she does enjoy the sexual dynamic she has with Jensen she also knows that long term they wouldn’t work since Bella doesn’t want that lifestyle and Jensen would be unhappy without it. However, she is developing a deep attraction to Nathan which only increases during their one to one self defence sessions and this is confusing Bella more than ever. Both she and Nathan know the pain of being cheated on and neither of them wants to do that but they can’t deny what is building between them so Bella talks down about herself.
By the time the christening happens, Bella has finally gotten through to Joel that they aren’t getting back together anytime soon and Jensen’s possessive streak shines through and we also get two reappearances of David during some of these scenes which was nice and added an extra dynamic to their relationship. However, when Bella ends up kissing Nathan one night and is rejected because he won’t cheat on Vicky, Bella is upset and angry at herself so she uses David and Jensen to take her mind off Nathan. Jensen finally realises her that he could never compete with a man that makes Bella react that way, something she has never done with him and the pair finally end things.
However, at the end Bella and Ava are going to a concert where Ava’s current fling is playing as the drummer and ends up meeting the lead singer, Cole who immediately takes a shine to Bella. In terms of the end game, I think Liam is still in the running although he would have to pull something out of the bag like the ending of Pretty Woman but my money personally is on Nathan right now. A solid way to jump back into the series.
