My Favourite Books of the Year So Far…

January – This has to go to Kings of the Wyld by Nicholas Eames despite me reading a lot of 5 stars books in January purely because I have read it three times this year already and I am planning to read it again in July or August.

February – This is a tie for me between Interview with a Vampire by Anne Rice and Dark Lover by J. R. Ward both were amazing. Interview was a re-read for me and I finally started The Black Dagger Brotherhood and the first book was so gripping I immediately binge read the first 5 books.

March – This goes to Before the Coffee Gets Cold by Toshikazu Kawaguchi, it was an amazingly heart-breaking novel and I can’t wait to read more from this author very soon with the next two books.

April – This was a tough month to choose for but I think it has to go to All Systems Red by Martha Wells. I loved Murderbot and every instalment in this series has been better than the last and I can’t wait to get into the final two books very soon.

May – This has to go to The Blade Itself by Joe Abercrombie, his books have intimidated me for years but when I finally picked it up I devoured it in a single sitting. The Paladin Prophecy by Mark Frost would be a very close second and it was a really unique magic/power system I haven’t seen before.

June – My June reading month isn’t over yet but right now it is a tie between The Coward by Stephen Aryan, The Loop by Ben Oliver and So We Look to the Sky by Misumi Kubo but I will obviously update my thoughts on June in my wrap up and my favourite books of the years post at the end of December.
