Book Review
Title: Russian Next Door
Author: Flora Ferrari
Genre: Romance
Rating: *****
Review: So, another Flora Ferrari book and the synopsis of this gives nothing away so I was so excited to get into it. This novel seems to follow Vasily and Amanda and may incorporate some mafia elements to the romance. This is an intriguing relationship from the start, Vasily seems to be a Russian with close ties to the Kremlin and the second he lays eyes on Amanda he wants to make her his but what he doesn’t know is that Amanda is working with the F.B.I.
As we approach the halfway mark in the novel, we learn that the F.B.I. is trying to capture Vasily and that Amanda is supposed to be a honey trap for him but she is being drawn into the enigma that is the Russian next door and she doesn’t see him as dangerous and wants to carry on what they started the night before but she needs to keep her cover and that means taking a step back from the man that has captured her attention.
As we cross into the second half of the novel, Amanda has received a stern warning to stay on the right side of the line where Vasily is concerned but I don’t think that she is going to be able to do that. However, before anything can happen, Vasily learns that Amanda is working for the F.B.I. and takes matters into his own hands leading to a kidnapping situation but he also reveals the truth of their situation and the dramatic turn this novel has taken really took my breath away.
The ending of Russian Next Door wasn’t exactly what I was expecting but I still really enjoyed it. I really loved the characters and the insane romance between Vasily and Amanda and the epilogue really rounded out the story.
