Title: Sweet Berries by C.M. Nascosta (Monster Bait Book 2)
Genre: Erotic, Romance
Rating: 4 Stars
I read Morning Glory Milking Farm back last year and really enjoyed it so when I finish got copies book Sweet Berries and the third book I couldn’t wait to get into them. We are introduced to Grace who moved into the Creek after the breakdown of marriage and subsequent divorce to work on the blackberry farm planning weddings for a living but she is struggling with single life. This isn’t because she isn’t happy by herself but she misses the passion and intimacy that comes with being with someone. One of the people she works with has been hitting on her for a while and while she sees no potential relationship with him she almost gives in just to have sex with him and feel wanted by someone else but pulls back at the last minute and returns home. There she attempts to take care of her problem only to realise that there is someone watching her from outside which turns her on more than it should.
Over the next few nights Grace puts on private performances for this mysterious stranger until she ends up meeting him at the farm and it turns out he is a mothman named Merrick. Grace likes the interactions they have been having and wants to continue them so she gets to know Merrick and quickly realises he is an adorable nerdy with a love of butterflies and hummingbirds which is something Grace immediately falls in love with despite denying it. Initially they enter into their relationship just for the physical aspect because Merrick moves around a lot for his job and Grace isn’t looking for a relationship despite it being three years since she got divorced.
However, the more time they spend together, the more they begin to fall for each other and while Merrick has no issues with this, it is frightening for Grace and she tries to keep herself closed to his affections. While working on a kitsune wedding she gives the bride advice and realises that she should follow it herself leading the cutest confession between Grace and Merrick and seeing their happily ever after was adorable and I honestly forgot how easy these books are to read.
