Author: Rebecca Winters & Haruhi Sakura
Genre: Manga
Rating: *****
Review: So, we know from the synopsis that Stella and Theo had a relationship, but their families didn’t approve especially when Stella finds out she is pregnant, so they plan to run away together but Theo never shows. Now, six years later he is back in touch and wants to get to know their son and while Stella is hesitant, she agrees to meet with him.
When Theo and Stella meet again it becomes obvious to anyone apart from these two characters that Stella’s brother Nicolas set them both up. Nicolas told Stella that he had paid Theo $100,000 to leave her and the baby while he had Theo beaten up which nearly killed him and when he tried to find Stella, he told Theo that she had aborted the baby and didn’t want to see him as they come from very different worlds.
As Stella sees how much Theo loves Ari and what he is willing to do for him, she finds it is stirring up old feelings, but she can’t get past his betrayal. However, when Nicolas learn that Theo is back in Stella’s life although not as a lover but as Ari’s father, he decides to sue Theo. This is made worse when Nicolas learns that Theo has made himself a very rich man.
The best scene for me is when Stella sneaks into the courthouse and discovers the truth of what her brother did, she immediately apologizes to Theo for the way she acted, and they decide to give their relationship another go. The epilogue where we see Stella pregnant with her second child and the family are happy was a lovely ending to the story and I felt that this story worked very well in manga format.
