Top 10 Books with Romance

I love every single book on this list even though some are controversial, let me know your thoughts on these books in the comments and what is your favourite book with a to die for romance?

Stalking Jack the Ripper series by Kerri Maniscalco – Now, this series isn’t romance heavy but the romance that is there is absolutely adorable and very relatable for a historical romance novel. I am a little biased though because Thomas Cresswell is the most adorable little bean, and I love him so much.

2. Fifty Shades of Grey by E. L. James – I know this is a little controversial, but I found that even though this book isn’t perfect and is riddled with holes, it is the novel I have read that comes close to portraying a healthy BDSM relationship. Let me know your thoughts in the comments.

3. The Fault in Our Stars by John Green – Not the only John Green that’s made me sob over a relationship, the first was Looking for Alaska but I truly ugly cried at the end of TFIOS. The movie did it complete justice and it was almost as perfect as the book.

4. Hush, Hush series by Becca Fitzpatrick – This was one of the first YA series that I read back in my early teens along with Twilight and I loved them both then. Now, I can’t really stand to read the Twilight series even though I do like the last couple of movies. However, Hush, Hush is a series that I still love and will be re-reading soon.

5. They Both Die at the End by Adam Silvera – Another book that really made me ugly cry and still does every time I read it. No further explanation needed.

6. Shatter Me Series by Tahereh Mafi – While I love these books I hated the Juliette/Adam relationship in the beginning but as soon as Warner was introduced I was shipping harder than I have ever done before with the exception of the next entry.

7. Anything by Jay Kristoff/Amie Kaufman – I know this one is a bit of a cop-out but everything I have read by these two that features a romance of any sort, mainly the Nevernight trilogy and the Illuminae Files has been completely divine, and I am still not ready to read Darkdawn despite pre-ordering it.

8. Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov – Now many of you will have to fight me on this one but I loved the relationship between Humbert and Dolores despite the criminal aspect of their relationship. I am also convinced that they did really love each other but Lolita just realises that they were quite toxic together, they brought the worst out in each other. Another reason for this is that Humbert asks for the book to be published after Lolita’s death thinking she will outlive him, but we know she doesn’t, and I believe that he was informed of her death and died of a broken heart in prison.

9. Firsts by Laurie Elizabeth Flynn – Firsts was an interesting book for me, and I loved the premise of it. I will also be reading the prequel/companion Wattpad story very soon when I re-read this book.

10. Cherry by Lindsey Rosin – Cherry is much like Firsts for me, but it has much more humour and it follows an all-female cast of characters on their quests to lose their virginity.
